[摘要] 外交人士透露，日本當初並未邀請周美青出席，是台灣提出的要求，日本願意冒著被中國抗議風險，答應讓周來，且東博事件其實雙方早就知道，日方不知為何馬英九最後一刻抽手，引發日本政府懷疑是否跟中國有關，因為中國現在極力營造兩岸一起反日的情境，所以若10月文物轉往九州展出，屆時若周也不去，台日關係恐有裂痕。
